About this Event

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being deployed in the fight against the novel Coronavirus, with projects ranging from disease detection to the identification of potential treatments.

But how likely is AI to deliver meaningful results and what ethical issues may be encountered along the way?

In this webinar we will briefly examine the history of AI and explore the current state of the art, before considering several contemporary applications. We will separate reality from hype, addressing the strengths and limitations of AI. The session will conclude by highlighting some of the ethical concerns that need to be addressed in order to maximise the value of this important technology.
